Each summer, ARC brings together international groups of students in European cathedrals which are much frequented by tourists. For a period of three or four weeks, they act as student guides for the churches, from various angles (art history, history and religion), in the form of a dialogue. Besides welcoming tourists, ARC intends to further contacts between young people from different European countries and from different religious backgrounds (Anglican, Roman Catholic and Protestant), through the sharing of home, work and prayer. The various aims of ARC are expressed in the name of the organization, as the letters ARC stand for: Accueil (Welcome), Rencontre (Meeting) and Communauté (Community). ARC is also affiliated to the European federation Ars et Fides.
